The 2019/20 harvest ended with Cerradinho‘s sugarcane crushing record. 5,2 million sugarcane were crushed in the period, 9,3% more than the previous harvest.

In addition to sugar cane ethanol, Cerradinho also produces ethanol through the milling of corn. In November 2019, the corn ethanol plant was inaugurated, which milled during the 2019/20 harvest 170 thousand tons of corn.

The evolution of sugarcane and corn processing over the past five years is shown in the table below.

In the 2019/20 harvest, 501 million liters of hydrated ethanol were produced, of which 71 million liters came from corn.

Electricity is a significant product for CerradinhoBio. The company has participated in the National Interlinked System (NIS) of electricity since 2011, co-generating clean and renewable energy. In 2019/20, a total of 459 thousand GWh were exported to the SIN, in addition to 46,3 GWh cogenerates that were destined for the corn ethanol plant (energy and equivalent steam).

In addition to corn ethanol, in the 2019/20 harvest 45,5 tons of its co-product, DDG (corn bran) were produced. Regarding corn oil, 273 tons were produced during the 2019/20 harvest. Both products are used in the animal nutrition market.
